Called and Gifted - A Charism Discernment Workshop

A workshop designed to help Catholics discover their purpose and direction, through understanding the unique charisms (spiritual gifts) that God gives to each baptised person. Tricia and Fr Isaiah guide guests through a detailed discernment process, to identify their charisms, so they can share them more effectively with their family, friends, workplace and community.  


Tricia is the founder of the St. Francis Xavier Lay Missionary Society and serves as its president and program director; and Fr Isaiah is the society's spiritual director, based in Stanford, California, USA.

With so many distractions and with such busy lives, how can young people learn to focus on what is really important?  Fr Chad explains why St. Benedict asks his monks to be attentive to God in their hearts, and how to really listen.   He will lead a reflection, discussion, activity, and prayer; followed by the popular "Priests' Question Time":  a chance for the teenagers to ask any question they like to a panel of priests.

For 13-18 year olds


Our Lent Retreat for teenagers will take them to Operation Dawn, for a chance to visit former drug addicts, and then to Yim Tin Tsai for activities and Mass at St. Josephs's Church, the Unesco Heritage site.  Fr. Chad will lead a reflection, small group discussions and prayer on the topic of forgiveness and new beginnings.   The cost includes lunch and boat transport to and from the islands.

Transportation will be arranged with the participants.  Please contact us for details.

Why is Adoration becoming popular with young people?


Fr Chad leads a reflection for young adults and teenagers on the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, and what it means to be in the presence of Christ.  Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church hosts Adoration on the first Tuesday of every month.  This evening with Fr Chad is an opportunity to discover the meaning, and awaken your wonder for this ancient and deeply nourishing tradition.
